Just 2 blocks from Wailea in peaceful South Kihei,
our newest Maui condo hide-a-way has been
completely redecorate and outfitted and is now available to rent directly
from the owner for your vacation holiday in the paradise that is Hawaii.
The low rise, "building cluster" concept at Maui Kamaole leaves room
for delightful grassy areas, lots of tropical foliage, minimal common walls
and many "end" units. In fact, the feel of Maui Kamaole is more
like Wailea Ekahi Village
than other South Kihei resorts but the
pricing is Kihei value.
H-209 is a townhouse style 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium with 3 lanais and a
very private "front row" setting, an inviting, short walk from the
beach. Views of ocean and sunset are sweeping and begin south of Lanai and continue on to the West Maui
Mountains. Breakfast on
the lanai offers a tranquil time with beautiful views of sunrise and shadow
playing over those mountains.

The colorful grounds of Maui Kamaole are studded with tropical
flowers and palms. 2 pools with jacuzzi's offer a relaxing stop after a hard
day of ocean kayaking, golf and other sports.
Our Maui Kamaole condo offers all the comforts of home. It is an end unit so
has an extra picture window in the dining room.
We have a new state of the art split-ductless air conditioner unit, which
cools the master bedroom and living areas quickly and quietly. The second
bedroom also has an air conditioner and each room has ceiling fans too. All
appliances have been replaced in the last 3 years. These include our oven,
dishwasher, water heater, refrigerator, microwave, and Bosch (large load)
washer/dryer.
Besides the usual stuff, our well equipped kitchen boasts a garbage disposal,
toaster, blender, coffee maker and coffee grinder. You'll also find a CD
player, digital wall safe (large enough for a lap top) and iron/board in the
unit for your convenience.

The living and dining areas are spacious with vaulted ceilings
and comfortably furnished with several good "reading areas". Of course
with views of ocean and mountains everywhere you look it's kind of hard to
concentrate on that book.
In the past 2 years a sleeper sofa, a recliner, TV cabinet and art work were
added as well as a TV/VCR combo for the bedrooms, a wonderfully comfortable
new queen size bed for the master suite and a 27" TV with a DVD/VCR in
the living room. Cable TV is available.

This is a very private condominium unit - even when eating on
the lanai you aren't aware of other Maui Kamaole units. Because of the lovely
landscaping, walkers on the sidewalk can't see you either.
Cross ventilation is fabulous. The upstairs bedroom has a tub/shower, large
dressing area and even a lanai (atrium) for quiet outside reading. Bookcases
have been added on the lower half of the open wall above the kitchen with
shutters on the top. It has a loft feel but can be private when you close the
shutters.
The bedroom on the first floor is most colorful with twin beds and plenty of
extra storage. The twin beds can be made up as a “short king”
upon request. A full bath with tub/shower is immediately adjacent with
entrance from the hall. MORE

No high
rises here. The buildings are only 2.5 stories tall. One bedroom units are on
the ground floor. 2 bedroom condos with lofted ceilings and a "2nd
floor" begin a flight up.
2 tennis courts are at the top of the property and gas BBQ facilities can be
found near each building cluster as well as at both pools. We actually like
to grill here. It's a social event with the opportunity to meet other
fascinating folk from all over the world who have discovered this bit of
paradise.
Beaches are abundant at our end of the island. Besides being a favorite hang
out for whales (Dec- March), the ocean and beaches near us offer activities
ranging from sunning, to snorkeling, to surfing and ocean kayaking.
Kamaole III beach park is
just across the road. The Kam III
beach is kid-friendly most of the year as the surf doesn’t usually get
too rough. Our kids love to romp in the waves between making the obligatory
sand castles.
This is where
we often begin the day as the famous beaches of Kam I- Kam III are connected and afford one of the longest
beach walks on Maui. Just 2 blocks south at
the beginning of Wailea, is Keawapkapu beach. Wide white sand stretches, tide
pools and the entrance to Wailea's famous 2 mile beachfront board walk can be
accessed from this beautiful spot.
Considered South Kihei's premier condominium
resort, Maui Kamaole has been a favorite destination for travelers from all
over the world for nearly 20 years. Our spacious, colorful grounds optimize
open space with 36 low rise buildings in 13 clusters (about 200 condos).
Kihei (pronounced key-hay) is located on the southwest side of the island
about 20 minutes from Kahului
Airport just north of
Wailea and Makena. We are the "quiet" side of the island (about 35
minutes from Lahaina and 50 minutes from Kaanapali (west side).

Sunny and dry even when the rest of the island may be cloudy or rainy, Kihei and
Wailea are warm in the winter and a bit warmer in the summer with fairly
constant tropical breezes.

We think of our part of Kihei as the quiet end but within
walking distance of the condo you'll find some excellent, high end
restaurants as well as many family style places and even a sports bar –
particularly good during “March Madness”.
Early mornings the sidewalk along Kihei
Road sees plenty of action from serious walkers
and the ocean parks across the street offer the opportunity to cool off.
Wonderful shops, open air markets, movies, in-line hockey, health clubs ...
they're all available in Kihei proper a little to our north. We have lots of
excellent golf and water sports (Molokini island is near by for some amazing
snorkeling).
For those looking to adventure beyond Kihei, Wailea and Makena, try a journey
to the tropical Hana coast and Seven Pools, visit Haleakala volcano for
sunrise, hike the lush Iao Valley or venture to Molokini for snorkeling
treats. January through March the whales put on a spectacular show - often
visible right from our lanai. The World Wind Surfing Championships are often
held near the airport in Spreckelsville.
I have a packet with directions, maps, things to do, contact numbers for golf
and tennis, etc that I mail after full payment is received. I can send info
on reduced rate car rentals or brochures for Wailea Golf and Tennis upon
request. If our unit isn't available I can often recommend others –
including our new Hale Kamaole
property!
